LEE MISSION CEMETERY
SECTION - Old
S
E + W
N
Burials in the Old Section (aka Section M) were not listed on the early burial records with a specific location within the block. A burial number in the record of interment simply meant that was the burial sequence number for that lot. While our numbering system may not agree with the original interment record, it will designate an actual burial location for the ease of those seeking an accurate location.
"Old Section" contains the first burials for the cemetery. This was originally the front of the cemetery with the entrance being in the block marked by green. Some references to the cemetery mention "up on the hill" which was due to the incline that needed to be taken from that side of the cemetery to access it.
